Schecter Strat, Sunburst
Schecter Guitar Research, commonly known simply as Schecter, is an American guitar manufacturer. In 1979, Schecter offered for the first time its own fully-assembled electric guitars. These guitars were custom shop models based on Fender designs.
In 1980 Mark bought 4 Schecter Strat guitars: 1 Strat Sunburst, 2 Strats Candy Apple Red and 1 Strat Daphne Blue* (used by Hal Lindes later). All guitars were bought from Rudy’s Music Stop.
This Schecter Strat Sunburst was built in the end of 70s. It features a quilted maple top finished in sunburst, a bird’s eye maple neck with dots, Schecter F500T pick-ups.
The guitar was used on Tunnel Of Love on the Making Movies album in 1980. It was Mark’s favorite guitar but was stolen after the Making Movies record session.

Schecter Strat, Candy Apple Red
This guitar (serial number S8218) was built by Tom Anderson*. The body is candy mahogany, neck is bird’s eye maple with not dots. Previously the guitar featured the original Schecter F500T pick-ups. In 1981 the standard pick-ups were replaced with Seymour Duncan Vintage SSL-1, later, in 1985, with Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro-2 pick-ups**.
The guitar replaced Mark's Fender Strat and was main guitar from 1980 till 1986. It was used in the On Location tour 1980-1981 on Once Upon A Time In The West, Expresso Love, Sultans Of Swing, Down To The Waterline, Lions, Skateaway, News.
Mark used the guitar in the Love Over tour 1982-1983 tour on Once Upon A Time In The West, Expresso Love, Sultans Of Swing, Portobello Belle, Going Home.
Also the guitar was used on Expresso Love, Why Worry, So Far Away, Sultans Of Swing (1985), Going Home and On Every Street (1991-1992).

Schecter Strat, Candy Apple Red
It is the second Mark’s Red Strat. The guitar perhaps is the same model as the above mentioned Red Strat (S8218). The guitar still features the original Schecter F500T pick-ups.
The guitar was used by Hal Lindes on the Love Over Gold album and tour 1982-1983. Also this Strat was in Live 85/6 tour but there is not information where it was used.
Schecter Strat, Daphne Blue
As posted above Mark bought this Strat in 1980. The guitar looks like both Red Strats with the original Schecter F500T pick-ups.
The guitar was used by Hal Lindes on the Love Over Gold album and tour 1982-1983. It is not known does Mark have it or the guitar is owned by Hal Lindes.
Schecter Strat, Sunburst
It is a latest Mark's Schecter Strat (serial number S8001) used as a replacement for the first Strat Sunburst stolen. This guitar was built by Tom Anderson in 1979*. It features a birch body, a maple top finished in tobacco sunburst, a bird’s eye maple neck with not dots and Schecter F500T pick-ups.
The guitar was used on Tunnel Of Love (1980-1986), Telegraph Road (1982-1983), Ride Across the River (1985), Romeo & Juliet (outro in 1985-1986).
Mark donated this guitar to the Eric Clapton's "Crossroads Guitar Auction" run by Christie's in New York and the guitar was sold for over 50 000 USD*.
