Schecter Strat
Schecter Strat, Candy Apple Red
This guitar (serial number S8218) was built by Tom Anderson* and features a mahogany body and a bird’s eye maple neck with not dots. The standard F500T pick-ups were replaced with Seymour Duncan Vintage SSL-1, later with Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro-2 pick-ups.**
The guitar replaced Fender Stratocasters. It was Mark's main guitar from 1980 till 1985. Used on Love Over Gold, Brothers In arms and On Every Street albums.
Also Mark used it in tours on Once Upon A Time In The West (1980-1983), Down To The Waterline, Lions, Skateaway, News (1980-1981), Portobello Belle (1982-1983), Expresso Love and Sultans Of Swing (1980-1985), So Far Away (1985), Going Home (1982-1992), On Every Street (1991-1992).
Mark still has it and guitar was used by Richard Bennett during the tour in 2008.***

Schecter Strat, Candy Apple Red
It is second Mark’s Strat built by Tom Anderson.* The guitar is the same model as the above mentioned Red Strat (S8218) and still features the original Schecter F500T pick-ups**.
Used on the Love Over Gold album. Also Hal Lindes used this guitar in tour 1982-1983.

It was Mark’s favorite guitar. It features a birch body, a bird’s eye maple neck with dots, Schecter F500T pick-ups.
Used on Tunnel Of Love on the Making Movies album in 1980. The guitar was stolen after the Making Movies record session.*

It is latest Mark's Schecter Strat (serial number S8004) used as a replacement for the first Strat Sunburst stolen. This guitar as all Mark's Strats was built by Tom Anderson in 1979*. It features a birch body, a bird’s eye maple neck with not dots and Schecter F500T pick-ups.
Used in tours on Tunnel Of Love (1980-1986), Telegraph Road (1982-1983), Ride Across the River (1985), Romeo & Juliet (1985-1986).
On Assassin Of Love (Miracle - Willy DeVille album) it was used through a Fender Vibrolux connected to the Marshall cabinet to achieve the 'Duane Eddy' sound on that track.**
Mark donated this guitar to the Eric Clapton's "Crossroads Guitar Auction" run by Christie's in New York and the guitar was sold for over 50 000 USD***.
